What is the cancellation policy? If the client does not show up for 25 minutes without prior information for a scheduled session and/or does not cancel their appointment at least 24 hours in advance, they will have to pay 50 percent of the session fee. This practice of being charged for no shows or late cancellations is standard in the field, and takes into account that the client is not just paying for services rendered, but reserving a time slot which the therapist cannot offer to someone else on short notice. It also takes into account the effort and energy invested by the therapist in preparing for the cancelled session.
-
Are the sessions confidential?Yes. The information the client shares with the therapist during therapy sessions is considered confidential. It cannot be revealed to any third party. It can only be disclosed after obtaining a written consent from the client.
-
Will I feel better after each session?Sessions do not guarantee a feel good experience each time. Therapy is often about self-awareness and inner-work, thus, there is a possibility of the client feeling emotionally or physically distressed and challenged during or after the session. This experience is a normal part of one's healing process.
-
What if therapy is not working for me?Although the therapist is specialised in addressing various problems, however, it maybe that they are not a good fit for you. In which case, the client can request the therapist a referral to someone else and/or the client is free to leave therapy at any time.
